Circuit From Casablanca 7 Days to Marrakech via Chefchaouen and the desert, Upon your arrival in Casablanca, our guide will be there to welcome you to start your visit. Once we leave the city, we have a journey of about five hours to reach Chefchaouen.
Day 1 – Casablanca – Rabat – Chefchaouen
Welcome to Morocco !! Upon arrival in Casablanca, your guide will be there to meet you to begin your tour. Once we leave the city, we have a journey of about five hours to reach Chefchaouen. If you arrive early, we could include a visit to the Hassan II Mosque. We travel north along the Atlantic coast to reach the imperial city and capital of Rabat, where we could stop for lunch if you wish. Continuing, we reach the wooded slopes and the lakes, which means that we approach the blue city of Chefchaouen. You will stay in a typical hotel and spend the night exploring.
Day 2 – Explore Chefchaouen and drive to Fes via Volubilis
Today you have the morning free to discover this magical medina with its unique urban landscape. After lunch, we leave to visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis; An important city with many well-preserved artifacts. Traveling through fertile farmland and villages, we reach the ancient city of Fez and its medieval medina. Here you will spend the night with dinner and breakfast included.
Day 3 – Explore Fez with a local guide
This morning after breakfast in your riad, you will begin a sightseeing tour of the city with a local guide. Which will give you more information about the city and its attractions. You will visit the Medina (old town) by walking. You will visit the Medersas Bouanania and Attarine built at the beginning of the 14th century by the Merinids, the Mosque and University Karaouiyne / Karaouine (the former educational center of Islamic learning) and the marble fountain Nejjarine. You will take a break for lunch in a typical Moroccan restaurant. Continuing your visit, you will see the decorated door of Bab Boujeloud, the medieval tanneries, the Royal Palace. Next, visit the souks (local markets) where merchants and artisans sell their handmade jewelry, leather goods, copperware, and pottery. After the visit, you will be taken back to your riad.
Day 4 – Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga
Leaving Fez, we go to the great cedar forests with their alpine villages of Ifrane and Azrou. In the forest, you will undoubtedly take a look at the macques monkeys that live there. Midelt is called the capital of Apple, because it grows many varieties. Lunch will be in this town. From there, the landscapes change many times, passing large rivers, mountains and palm groves. The Ziz Valley is an impressive sight. The next stop is at the Erfoud Fossil and Mineral Workshops. This area has unearthed many amazing fossils and even dinosaur bones. You will start to notice the colors changing and soon you will see the dunes from afar. Arriving in the dunes of Merzouga, a welcome cup of mint tea will be waiting for you in your tent. Relax and enjoy your time, walk around the area and enjoy the silence of the desert.
Day 5 – Merzouga, camel trek and night in the desert
After breakfast, we embark on a desert adventure to discover oases, mines, nomads and visit the town of Khamlia to listen to very special Gnawa music. In the afternoon, you will meet your team of camels and prepare to cross the dunes. You will spend the night in a nomadic camp with dinner and music around the campfire. It is an unforgettable experience and if the stars come out, they will be amazing.
Day 6 – Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge
A call for early attention ensures that the desert dawn is not lost; It is a magical spectacle that is worth waiting for. Leaving the desert behind, we stop first in the market town of Rissani, where you can visit its colorful souks. The nearby ruined town of Sijilmassa formed an important part of the history of this region. We travel west to Tinejdad and Tinghir passing through palm groves and adobe villages. From there we climb the mountains to see one of the wonders of nature; Gorges du Todra, this 300 meter high fault has at its feet a crystal clear river that has crossed the mountain to form this gorge. Back in the valley, we continue to Boumalne Dades and hit the road again to discover another incredible marvel at the Dades Gorges. Here you will spend the night in a local guest house with dinner and breakfast.
Day 7 – Dades Gorge – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech
After breakfast, we will take you to see the amazing rock formations and kasbahs hidden in this gorge. Back in the Dades Valley, we continue our journey passing many adobe kasbahs and the Rose Valley where the Damascus rose grows and transforms the flowers into many different products. Leaving this valley, we pass the old palm grove of Skoura with some impressive kasbahs and arrive in Ouarzazate; The capital of cinema. Here are several movie studios where movies like Cleopatra were made. We continue to arrive at the famous Ksar of Aït Ben Haddou which was used in the film The Gladiator, as well as many other films. You can stop here to visit and have lunch. In the afternoon, we cross the High Atlas Mountains, Berber villages and farms dot the hillsides and rivers carved into their path. We cross the Tizi n´Tichka pass at 2260 meters above sea level and descend on the return roads to reach Marrakech by night.
