ITINERARY:

Day 1: Fez Airport:

Delivery of your car rental at Fez airport. then you go to join your accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, possibility of a first visit to Fez.
Night in hotel or riad.

Day 2: Fez / Meknes / Volubilis - Visit of Fez, Meknes and Volubilis:

The morning is devoted to the guided tour of the largest medina in the world, in Fez (city guide available for ½ day). Then, to the site of Volubilis, the must, the largest Roman archaeological site in Morocco. On the way back to Fez, visit another imperial city is needed, Meknes, one of the most beautiful cities in Morocco.
Night in hotel or riad.

Day 3: Fez / Sefrou / Midelt - Walk to the lake Aguelmame Sidi Ali:

Departure for Midelt going up the foothills of the Middle Atlas. Stroll around the natural lake of Aguelmame Sidi Ali by a magnificent path of transhumance borrowed by the nomads of the region: the view is superb. The road continues through lush greenery and centuries-old cedar forests to Midelt, at the foot of the Eastern High Atlas.

Day 4: Midelt / Gorges du Ziz / Erfoud / Merzouga - Crossing the Eastern Atlas:

Day 4: Midelt / Gorges du Ziz / Erfoud / Merzouga - Crossing the Eastern Atlas:
Crossing of the eastern part of the High Atlas by the collar of Tizi n'Talghoumte (1907 m), one of the three passes crossing the High Atlas. Nice walk to Tamsahalte, a village out of time. The road leads quickly into the Ziz Gorge and the Tafilalet palm grove. From Erfoud, the first dunes of the eastern desert appear. Arrival in Merzouga.

Day 5: Merzouga - Hiking in the dunes:

You can in the day go discover the surroundings or enjoy the pool of the kasbah in the hot hours. Around 4 pm, departure by camel to join the camp. At the pace of the caravan, discover the largest dune space in Morocco, Erg Chebbi, whose dunes rise to 150 m. The day ends with a pure moment of happiness: the sunset atop a golden dune.
Dinner & Night in a nomad camp in the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes. You will sleep in a bed, under a khaima (traditional Berber tent).

Day 6: Merzouga / Todra Gorges / Boutaghar (Valley of Roses) - Casbahs Route:

Wake up early to admire this time the spectacle of the sunrise on the dunes. After a shower and a good breakfast, drive to Erfoud.
​ Arrival at Tineghir, whose palm grove extends to the foot of the Atlas. You can walk in the middle of cultivated fields, in the shade of palm trees. Small detour for an immersion in the grandiose gorges of Todra, one of the most impressive landscapes of Morocco. Continuation of the road of Casbahs to join the Valley of the Roses.
Dinner & Night in a hostel / kasbah in Boutaghar.

​Day 7: Boutaghar / Skoura / Ouarzazate:

Day 8: Ouarzazate / Ait Ben Haddou / Telouet / Marrakech:

​Day 9 : Marrakech:

Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
